What’s that you say? You wish there was a London souvenir that could effectively commemorate the Diamond Jubilee and The Olympics AT THE SAME TIME?

Love Create Festival 2012.

Emma Hopkins, the latest lovely edition to our ever growing creative team, was hard at work this weekend at the Love Create Festival in Weston-Super-Mare.

The inspiration for LoveCreate is the lovepassionkindness and energy of one Miss Hayley Dowdell. Hayley was an amazing person, with a wicked laugh, full of love, life and an infectious positivity. She was a fan of art, design, music, Glastonbury, The Mighty Boosh, the odd pint and anything sweet.

She was 27 when she lost her battle with Cystic Fibrosis in November last year. Throughout her adult life she played a big part in North Somerset in bringing about awareness of the illness. She took part in many fundraising activities including completing the Bristol 10K in 1h 47mins with only a 40% lung capacity, writing and illustrating a book to help young children understand CF and petitioning for and winning beds and equipment for ward 54 at the Bristol Royal Infirmary (BRI) Hospital.

The aim of the festival was to promoteshare and celebrate a genuine love of creating and in doing so to raise as much awareness and money as possible for Cystic Fibrosis.

Money raised will be used to buy equipment and aparatus for the respiratory ward at BRI and will go towards the amazing Gene Therapy Research and Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

On the day of the event Emma set up and ran a T-shirt making and creating stand - all funds raised on the stand went to both charities. The pennies are still being counted but Emma believes her stand raised approximately £300 so a huge well done to her!

When we spotted these in the press this morning, our inner 5-year-old selves began to jump up and down with glee and excitement! Crayola, the people famous for crayons and colouring in books have decided to branch out and launch a range of nail varnishes, in keeping with their strong and joyful crayon colours for those who are perhaps a little too old for staying within the lines. We just love them and cannot wait to get our hands on a pack!

Toilet rolls.

At Blow Creative we feel the UK may have become a little too complaisent when it comes to the colours of our toilet rolls. Available to us we have an array of creams, magnolias, dusty pinks, light blues and many other shades within the pastel pallet. Yes, we do have the option of covering our dull and mundane rolls with twee and sometimes creepy, covers hand knitted by our Nan’s, but we think our continental friends over in Portugal have got the right idea.

Renova, Portugal, have decided that the toilet should no longer be a dull and boring environment and have taken it upon them selves to inject a little colour into the once dull and drab power room. From hot pinks, to lime greens, through to black, red, blue and orange they have an array of toilet tissues to suit your mood, your decor, your event and even your nation!

According to their site “Nothing screams glamour and luxury more than Renova coloured tissue. Best choice for daily use or party events!”

And we agree! Come on Andrex, we all love the puppy but please can we have some colour?!

You’ve all heard of Brad Pitt right?? Course you have. But have you met Doug Pitt? Doug’s just a regular guy.

He washes his own car, pays his own bills, and does his own laundry. You see, unlike his famous bro, Doug’s never been the star of anything.

As believers in ‘a fair go for all’, Virgin Mobile in Aus have decided to make things a little fairer in the Pitt family. Say hello to Doug Pitt. Excellent viral - we ‘like’ it
